Water Demand and Supply Analysis using WEAP Model for Veda River Basin Madhya Pradesh (Nimar Region), India

Significant gaps exist in water management strategies implemented the sub-basin of Narmada River, Veda River Basin. Hence, main goal this study is to predict demand and supply, recharge draft with use Water Evaluation Planning System (WEAP) Model. The area watershed located Nimar region Madhya Pradesh, Middle India. In study, WEAP model used as a decision support system for management. uses balance approach generation results, based on that 4 types scenarios have been developed are high population growth, industrial rainwater harvesting, storage structures future trends. unmet demands were simulated all administrative blocks, catchments, industries which amounting 9.58´108 m3 2011 9.65´108 2030. Results suggested addition well artificial groundwater reduce domestic consumption meet irrigation requirements.
